Aromatherapy Properties:Refreshing, invigorating, stimulating. Strengthening, Very popular in an Aromatherapy bath to revive tired muscles.
Suggested Use:Add a few drops to a diffuser; this is great to wake up and feel energized. Frequently used in room sprays, detergents, cough and cold preparations. To make your own room spray, combine 2oz. of distilled water with about 10 drops of Essential Oil in one of Aromaland's freshpack misters, shake well, and spray liberally.
Adding just 6 drops to a warm bath brings welcome stimulation to sore, stiff and overworked muscles. In order to prevent the oils from floating on the surface, blend the Essential Oil with some Half & Half, honey, vinegar or Aromaland's Coconut Emulsifier before adding it to the water.
Pine Essential Oils are among the few Essential Oils with a limited shelf life. Keep your pine oil away from heat and direct sunlight and in tightly closed containers; your fridge would be great! Try using them within 6 months of purchase. Older oils may not be appropriate for medicinal or skin care purposes, but may still be okay in a diffuser blend.
History:Pine Needle oil has a long history of use in the sauna, steam bath, and as an additive to baths and massage products targeting sore muscles and strengthening the system. Nicely energizing.
Specific Safety Information:Apply to skin only in strong dilution, possible skin irritant. Pine and Spruce are GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) approved by the FDA as food flavor.
