- Candle Care
- Trim candle wicks to 1⁄4 inch every time before lighting.
- For the initial lighting allow the candle to create a full and even burn pool across the entire candle. The rule of
- thumb is to burn a candle for one hour per inch in diameter.
- For subsequent lightings our recommended burn time is no more than 3-4 hours depending on the size of the
- candle.
- To extinguish your candle, don't use the lid or blow it out - dip the wick! Dipping the wick leaves no smoke,
- primes the wick with wax to keep it supple and makes it easier to re-light.
- Do not leave a burning candle unattended.
- Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
- Keep candles out of the reach of small children and pets.
- Burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris.
- Keep burning candles away from drafts, air currents and ceiling fans.
- Make sure the candle is completely extinguished and the wick ember is no longer glowing before leaving the
- room.
- Discontinue burning a candle when 1/2 inch of wax remains in the container.
